Doppelaxtwerfer Nordwestschweiz

In 2016, four founding members Andreas, Ella, Mike and Markus created our club in Zeiningen to practice double axe throwing. This sport is almost a national sport in Canada and Sweden, but almost unknown in the rest of Europe.

In December 2019, it was decided at our general assembly to change the name of the club to “Doppelaxtwerfer Nordwestschweiz” (Double Axe Thrower Northwestern- Switzerland).

Our sport is about throwing a double-bladed axe at a target, similar to darts or archery. Depending on the position at which the axe blade hits the target, points are awarded.

This sport is suitable for everyone, women, men and juniors, and is very sociable.
